Product Description

Antique Marvel Gravity Dilution Cream Separator made by Superior Sheet Metal Works Company of Indianapolis, Indiana. This size held 10 gallons and used a combination of gravity and dilution methods to separate the cream from the milk. Glass windows allowed the user to view the separation line, as cream rose to the top and water and skim milk settled at the bottom. A valve was then used to drain the water and skim milk. A wonderful primitive antique display piece for vintage country or vintage rustic decor. Or it can be used as an ice bucket, planter or storage. Tin is rusted but in solid condition. The wood legs are solid and fairly sturdy but due to age they could use some reinforcement. The separator is missing its original top.  Measures approximately 38"1/2 tall x 12" in diameter.  Please mouse over the product pictures to see the condition details up close.
