Product Description

Vintage Ceramic Balustrade Architectural Salvage. Imagine this section with a final on top and as the hand-hold of a grand staircase. The green glaze ceramic fish are beautiful and show a lot of detailed work. We are not sure how old these are but were told these were taken from a home in the 1950s. We found them at a "pickers" house in North Carolina. We loved the weight and could imagine them re-purposed as bookends, as the base for a small display shelf/table, wire them for small nightstand table lamps, display pieces or as part of a balustrade again. No major flaws/chips/cracks/breaks, only some missing paint and the fish show glaze crazing. Measures 9.75" tall x 6.25" wide x 5" deep. Please mouse over or click on any photograph to see the condition details up close.
